Tekonsha 118668 T-One Connector Assembly for Trailer Wiring - Universal 4-Way Flat Vehicle to Trailer Light Harness Kit - Perfect for Towing Boats, Campers & Utility Trailers

I have installed at least 5 trailer hitches/harnesses and this was the easiest one I have ever worked with. There was no cutting of any factory wires in my 2012 Touareg. The brake passthough connectors seems well made and fit well in the factory brake light sockets. I followed this installation video youtube.com/watch?v=AjgkPAq4q7I The only thing I did different was I used a factory screw under the side panel to attach the ground wire as I didn't want to drill a new hole. The trailer lights are extremely bright due to the fact that you are essentially installing a new circuit just for them. I have had no battery drain, the module must shut off when the car is not running as I have gone a week without starting it and it starts just fine. The only complaint is with the seller 4wheelonline. We picked up the VW right before labor day weekend and it did not have a hitch. Labor day weekend is the big goodbye to summer party on the lake. So I ordered a hitch and this harness, shipping was fast as it arrived with the hitch that was shipped 'prime' and this was not 'prime' shipping. I opened the shipping box to see a plastic clamshell type package that was clearly previously opened as it was now crudely wrapped in clear packaging tape to keep it closed. I inspected the contents, and the wires, etc showed no sign of use but all of the smaller parts were missing. At least I had the main parts, and I ran to Fleet Farm to pick up the missing electrical connectors, fuse block, and fuse that were missing. Never the less the install went great and boating on labor day weekend went great! Once again Tekonsha makes a great plug in harness and I hope I was the exception, not the rule with 4wheelonline. But it irks me when vendors pass off returns as new, yet do not even take the time to ensure all the parts are there when it was obviously opened.
